The best deeds are prayer on time, righteousness with parents, and struggling in Allah’s cause

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, which deed is best?” The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Prayers during their proper times.” I asked, “What is next?” He said, “Righteousness with your two parents.” I said, “What is next?” He said, “Struggling in the cause of Allah.” I became silent and if I had asked him more, he would have told me.
